Q: Please share a brief introduction about yourself, including your current position and your year of graduation from USD Knauss School of Business' Master's in Business Analytics program.

Jade: My name is Jade Worrall, and I’m currently a Developer Marketing Manager at Intel. In my role, I manage Intel Software’s social channels and support a wide range of technical areas, including the Liftoff startup program, Edge AI, Intel Tiber AI Cloud, and open ecosystem content. My focus is on meeting developers where they are and making technical resources as accessible and impactful as possible.

I graduated in May 2024 with a Master of Science in Business Analytics from the Knauss School of Business and previously earned my BBA from USD in Marketing and Real Estate with a minor in Spanish.

Q: Why did you decide to pursue a Master's in Business Analytics at USD?

Jade: As a proud USD undergrad alum, I already knew the Knauss School of Business fostered a tight-knit, high-quality academic environment with values that aligned closely with mine. I returned for the MSBA program to strengthen my hard skills and build deeper technical expertise that would directly support my growing role at Intel. I wanted a graduate program that would challenge me analytically and help me evolve into a more data-driven, strategic marketer.

Q: How did the MSBA program help prepare you for your role as a developer marketing manager at Intel?

Jade: The MSBA program introduced me to a wide range of tools and analytical techniques, and gave me valuable hands-on experience working with real datasets across various industries. This helped me become more adaptable and confident when approaching complex challenges. A key insight I gained is that many professionals are intimidated by data and unsure how to effectively measure the outcomes of their efforts. The program equipped me with the skills to break through that barrier and use data to drive smarter decisions. I left the program with the ability to clearly connect data to business value, which has set me up for success and made a noticeable difference in how I support marketing strategy at Intel.

Q: What was your biggest takeaway from the International Consulting Program you completed in Melbourne?

Jade: The International Consulting Program in Melbourne was truly transformative. Beyond being immersed in an entirely new environment, I had the opportunity to work with real businesses on actual challenges. This wasn’t just a class simulation—the stakes were higher, the feedback was real, and the work we did had a direct impact. It taught me how to collaborate across cultures, adapt to different business dynamics, and deliver insights that could actually be implemented.

Q: Which course/professor has had the greatest impact on your career and why?

Jade: Marketing Analytics with Professor Colin Campbell had a significant impact on how I approach my work today. The course emphasized refining campaign performance using data and taught us how to extract meaningful insights that drive action. One of the most valuable skills I developed was how to communicate analytical results clearly. Whether I’m presenting to a room full of executives or speaking to hundreds of internal stakeholders, I now feel confident explaining the "why" behind the numbers in a compelling and digestible way. That skill alone has elevated the way my work is received.

Q:  What advice would you give to prospective MSBA students looking to get the most out of their graduate education?

Jade: Say yes to the opportunities that stretch you. Whether it’s a consulting project, an internship, a networking event, or exploring a topic outside your comfort zone, the more you engage, the more you’ll grow. Build relationships with your professors and peers, and look for ways to apply what you're learning in real time. Also, take full advantage of the resources USD offers—from career services to faculty office hours to alumni connections. They’re there to support your success, and they truly make a difference when you take the initiative to use them.
